After an absence of two years, The London Gay Gordons 2022 Annual Residential Dance Event was a great success.
The sun shone and the countryside around Cober Hill, a beautiful Victorian Country House near to the sea and close to the delights of Scarborough, was at its best.
Over 30 people attended. Mornings were spent dancing, we had a variety of classes with qualified, friendly teachers. The afternoons were our own, with optional activities on offer, including walks by the sea, trips to Whitby and informal dances each evening.
We had exclusive use of the Theatre, where we looked at technique and dance formations, as well as trying out new dances and dancing the old favourites.
The atmosphere was informal and everyone seemed to have fun.
Special thanks go to Richard, who organised the event, and without whose efforts Cober Hill 2022 would not have been possible, Murrough who MC’d the evening dances and teachers Tim, Dave and Roy.
The Gay Gordons look forward to dancing with you all again at our classes in London, and hopefully in the peaceful surroundings of Cober Hill in 2023.
