London Gay Gordons Scottish Country Dance & 20th Birthday Ceilidh

Difficult to believe, but the London Gay Gordons are 20 years old this year.

We were so happy to celebrate our ‘GG20’ Twentieth Anniversary Dance and Ceilidh on Saturday October 25th 2025 in St Columba’s Church, Lower Hall.

A lively crowd of people danced the evening away to the wonderful music of the Caledonian Reelers.

Our expert MC Simon Wales saw us through the dances, and everyone seemed to be having a great time.

Special thanks must go to John Tyler, one of our two Founders. John was with us to watch a 20th Birthday Dance Demo, made up of his dances, as well as a dance ‘Thanks to Daniel’, by our own Murrough Landon. This dance honours our other founder Daniel Capron, who sadly died earlier this year.

You can view the medley here:

A huge thank you to everyone who made the effort to celebrate with us, you made our 20th Birthday a memorable one.

Dress code

Kilts and trews look wonderful, but they are not necessary.

We want everyone to be relaxed and to have fun, so please wear something comfortable.

Please note – soft-soled shoes are required, as it is a sprung, wooden floor and our hosts would not like it damaged.
